Unlike traditional placement agencies, our guide is designed to be transparent, showing every facility in Michigan’s database along with any violation history.

We do not get paid by any facility and we will never charge you for finding a home.

Why We Started FlipSide

Our team is just the two of us, Carly and Jordan, a married couple working together to redefine how people find good quality assisted living homes.

We’ve had several family members live in assisted living homes throughout Macomb County, and unfortunately, many of our experiences have been overwhelmingly negative. We’ve seen issues ranging from poor communication and lack of accountability to more serious concerns, including mistreatment and theft.

After going through those experiences firsthand, we couldn’t stop thinking about how to flip that experience on its side. First by helping families find better, higher-quality care, and eventually by providing the kind of care we would want for our own family.

Our Future Vision

We hope to one day open an assisted living home of our own where quality care and quality of life are always the top priorities.

Our vision is to create a network of smaller, more personal homes with owners who are actively involved in everyday life, not sitting ten layers up the chain. We want owners to know our residents, listen to them and their families, support our employees, and be present enough to recognize and address problems quickly.
